Day 265- Ikea

Day 264 - and so on

21 September 2011- Still working on this. The wedding that it was for was about 5 days after this photo- hence the plethora of photos, I was spending most of my leisure time trying to finish it

Day 263- the project continues

20 September 2011- Remember this? and this? this is the bottom left corner. I am very impressed by the rose. While stitching it just seems like an awkward mess of stitches, but pull away and it looks like a rose, even before the backstitch.

Day 262- The view up here

19 September 2011- I went to an information session on Sharepoint, and it was held on the twentysomething floor. I have never worked above the 8th floor in any of the buildings I have been in (and usually lower). Probably a good thing as I would be very distracted by the views. A very different perspective from that on the ground. And buildings in brisbane have very ugly rooftops

Day 261 - Mini cupcakes

18 September 2011 - taken in for morning tea

Day 260 - tomatoes

17 September 2011- This tomato plant has been a very steady producer- lots of tomatoes here. Makes me wonder what I did wrong witht he previous ones

Day 259 - Fish and Chips

16 September 2011- I don't know why I took this, but it is the best of the sparse bunch. We went to get some fish for dinner- the local fish shop does both fresh and cooked (fried and grilled). It's a busy place

Day 258 - Special effects

15 September 2011- I got a couple of free lenses on the Hipstamatic app that are related to the Cowboys and Aliens movie. I hadn't noticed the effect until I photographed something small and simple in black and white. The mouse is sitting on a white desktop- the splash is all camera effect

Day 256- Story Bridge

13 September 2011- I caught the ferry from the city to Bulimba. I always enjoy standing or sitting at the front and watching the river

Day 254 - Bridge to Brisbane

11 September 2011- We participated in the Bridge to Brisbane- a fun run/walk that runs from the Gateway Bridge to part of brisbane. When I first started doing it, the course ran about 13 km. But in the last few years, the time of year and course have changed and it is now a 10 km race. At one point the course runs along a freeway. I find the juxtaposition of a sign for the Gold Coast (100km away) and the walkers interesting

Day 253- Waiting

10 September 2011- Amusing myself by taking pictures while waiting for Greg at the theatre. We went to see a russian ballet group- the piece they did to Bolero was really good. Anyway, the patterns of my dress and shoes in black and white fascinated me.

Day 251- Book

9 September 2011 - A increasingly rare sight in the house- a book in the process of being read. 2 e-readers mean fewer physical books.

Day 250 - Saving

8 September 2011- The future tv? or possibly something else. Spare change gets chucked into this water cooler bottle to buy something in the future

Day 249 - muffin

7 September 2011- what happens when Greg eats a muffin, it gets broken into many pieces. Interesting how everyone has little eating quirks

Day 248- Cocoa and cookies

6 September 2011- a cup of hot cocoa and a couple of oreas as an evening snack

Day 247- Tea

5 September 2011- I met up with my sister for a cup of tea

Day 246 - Cupcakes

4 September 2011- We made cupcakes

Day 245 - The Birthday present

3 September 2011- I don't think my SIL will ever let me give my little brother a present before they do again. After a few tears last year at being given books relating to a series that he was "too old"for (Thomas the tank engine) we went for the bag of plastic pirate toys instead (he's 6). After an initial lack of enthusiasm (although points for size of present) he got very into playing with the pirate set. I think "bad guys" were being jailed in this set.

Day 244- the project

2 September 2011- The wedding sampler is slowly progressing.

Day 243- Mexican!

1 September 2011- One of the things I miss about the US is decent mexican food- the few places that serve it here are generally very basic tex mex style with some interesting interpretations. This very simple chain is a nice change- fresh tortillas, good salsas, yum.

Day 242- Panda

31 August 2011- The Panda has a chair. no idea why, but this is the only picture that worked.

Day 241 - The old house

30 August 2011- I spent the day cleaning the old house, and it was not fun. This is the dining room off the kitchen which had random outbreaks of mold on the walls (one of the factors in moving). The corner wasn't like that in real life- I wonder if the phone caught something- it was where the mould would not go away

Day 240 - Greg

29 August 2011- The movers came on this day, and Greg spent the day moving (I went to work). We ended up getting takeaway from the Indian place around the corner. Here Greg is waiting for the food.
