Postcard 151- USA

Received 25 May 2012 from the USA. The card has a nice quote on the back about enjoying the little things in life. postcard id: US-1682341

Received 23 May 2012 from France, this is actually a picture of St-Gallen in Switzerland. I hve never been there, although I came close. Apparently there is a really amazing library in the town. Postcard id: FR-209722

Postcard 149- Netherlands

Received 23 May 2012 from the Netherlands, this is an art piece by Christien Meindertsma called Öne sheep sweater". It follows the whole process from source (sheep) to end product (sweater) pretty interesting. postcard id: NL-1212939

Received 22 May 2012 from the USA. The sender grew up down the street from the restaurant pictured. I had forgotten what it is like to live with snow everywhere day upon day! postcard id: US 1670492

Day 195- Lucky Socks?

13 July 2012- An important day, so I tried out these bunny socks from Japan, in the hope that they would provide some luck. They kept my feet warm, but didn't do much on the luck side.

Day 194- water

12 July 2012- We drink a lot of this water. Anyone out there have a Soda Stram- is the carbonation similar?

Day 193- oh dear

11 July 2012- Sometimes I don't take many pictures. This was one of those days. Behold, a loading webpage for Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. It's an entertaining site.

Day 192- at home

10 July 2012- The realities of my life- wine, chocolate and nasal spray for IVF.

Day 191- Weather surprise

9 July 2012- This is an attempt to record a unpleasant weather surprise. It was bright and sunny, with a clear blue sky when I left the office to go to the shops- a five minute walk at most. I felt a few light drops as I waited for the first walk sign, then a few heavier drops by the second. By the time I had made it to the shops (about 30 seconds from the crosswalk, and no more than 50 meters, it was pouring. Sudden sunstorm. Sometimes Queensland weather is not fun. Did I mention I had no umbrella?

Day 190- fruit

8 July 2012- Passionfruit, mandarins and apples. We have been monitoring the passionfruit vine while my mum is out of town- wow!

Postcard 145- Taiwan

Received 18 May from Taiwan, a card from Tezuka Osama world. He's the guy who created Astro-Boy, and my favorite- Black Jack. Astro-Boy is not someting I knew growing up, but all of the Aussies of my age watched it on tv as kids and when his "birthday"arrived (April 2003) threw a big party to celebrate!
