7 February 2011 - There has been a cyclone up north, and the banana plantations are pretty badly hit. The last time this happened bananas ended up being something like $15 a kilo($30 a pound?). Anyway I barely ate bananas for about a year. The price has already started to rise in the shops, so when I spotted this banana in the work fruit basket I went for it. I thought it would be the last banana for a while, but my home fruitbox has them at the moment as well.
