A project 365 blog- a photo every day for a year. Mixing it up a bit by tracking the postcards I receive as well!

Day 220- fail
9 August 2011- Not sure why i didn't take a picture, but I didn't
Day 217- Fail
6 August 2011- I need to come up with a nifty graphic for this, I do it so often. In all fairness, this is about the time I was diagnosed with EBV (glandular fever/mono) so I was a tad distracted.
Postcard 104- Turkey
Day 215 - Crochet
3 August 2011- I enrolled in a learn to crochet class- it was a fun exercise. Here is my first project, a face washer. It is entirely double crochet (UK terms) and very simple.

Day 214- Like a Spoon
2 August 2011- My new mouse from Japan- a nice cordless model called (seriously) "Like a Spoon". It is a nice mouse to use, and since it is wireless, it doesn't matter that I prefer to use it left handed (the cleaners used to switch my old one back to the other side of the computer).
Day 213- Fail
1 August 2011- no photo today.
Day 212- Resting the eyes
31 July 2011 - I think Greg may be a little tired in this picture. I would have been sitting at the close end of the couch, which is why he sleeping with his feet on the side table.
Day 211- Art precinct
30 July 2011- Brisbane now has two nice art musuems, with the State Library in between. The walk between is nice, with a cafe under the Library and trees and open spaces. We went to see an exhibition of an Australian artist couple from the impressionist era.

Postcard 95 - Russia
Received 28 July 2011, as part of the round robin. A postcard of St Petersburg, a city I would love to visit. I studied St Petersburg in college, when I was in Geneva. So the mention does bring back the faintly stressful air of being a mediocre french speaker in a post-graduate class (I can't beleive I was allowed to take it) all in French. I still remember the day the Professor informed me of the exam that I thought I wasn't going to take. Scary.

Postcard 90- Netherlands
This card received 28 July 2011, as part of a round robin. The artist is Monica Maas, I think I will be looking out for some of her other illustrations, I would have loved a cubby house like this as a kid.
